Conducting: Dieter F. Uchtdorf
Opening Hymn: Sweet is the Work (147)
Boyd K. Packer (Quorum of Twelve Apostles)
“Embers of testimony” are still testimony.
Much of what I have come to know falls in the category of what cannot be taught, but what can be learned.
God lives. He is our Father. We are His children.
Of all the titles, He chose to be called Father.
Parenthood is a sacred privilege and can be an eternal blessing.
No blessing will be denied you.
The Holy Ghost is real.
Everyone can come to know the reality of Moroni’s promise (Moroni 10:5)
Every prayer, blessing, ordinance, is done in the name of Jesus Christ.
In the Church we know who He is-Jesus Christ the Son of God.
We must build our foundation on Christ.
Each must come to an own personal testimony of Christ and share it with family and others.
Always remember there is an adversary.
We must choose who to follow.
Do all within our power to live the teachings of Christ.
This is the testimony last of all…that He lives! -Their words are my words
I know the Lord.
William R. Walker (Quorum of Seventy)
Live true to the faith.
Know the conversion stories of your forefathers.
Many hear the gospel message and immediately know it’s true.
Carry on. Stay true to the faith.
We must know that we are lead by a prophet of God.
Do not forget your experiences in the temple of the Lord.
Each of us will be blessed to know that sacrifices of our forefathers that joined the Lord’s Church.
No sacrifice is too great in order to receive the blessings of the temple.
We are all standing on the shoulders of giants.
Do not forget the promises and blessings that come to us from the temple.
Honor the legacy of our righteous forefathers.
L Tom Perry (Quorum of the Twelve)
The eternal nature of the family unit.
The Lord is our leader.
Follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost.
Be ready to receive the gentle tug of the Spirit.
We must be willing to completely alter our course to follow the Master.
We must teach our spirit and our body to work together to follow God’s commandments.
…all mankind may be saved by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
We must have absolute faith in the Lord.
Abraham’s faith empowered him to follow God’s lead with exactness.
Obedience is more difficult for some than others.
In the gospel there are many “one size fits all” solutions.
A formula to know between wrong and right.
Obedience is an emblem of our faith.
God will rescue us when we are obedient and faithful.
Someone who is all wrapped up in themselves makes a very small package.
Obedience is a choice between our limited knowledge and power and God’s unlimited power and omnipotence.
The blessings of eternal life are available to everyone who is faithful and obedient.
Lawrence E. Corbridge (Quorum of Seventy)
Can it be this simple? Ask God and He will answer? Yes.
In Joseph’s hast to know, he was not hasting. He prepared to talk to God.
The prophecy that Joseph’s name would be had for good and evil is still being fulfilled today.
There will always be the force of opposition to the plan of life.
Look for Him and expect to find the dirt flying.
Why not leave him alone? Because he taught the truth.
The truth will always be opposed.
You are more than human. You are a child of God, the Eternal Father, and may become like Him.
Revelation has not ceased. The heavens are not closed. God will speak to you and me.
Through the Atonement of Christ all mankind may be saved…
Everything did not begin at birth. You lived with God before this life.
Marriage is intended to be eternal. The family is the patter of heaven.
Joseph did not dream all of it up on his own. He had the help of heaven.
He was either a pretender or a prophet.
Prayer is the pattern to know the truth of all things.
God is our Father. Jesus is the Christ. We worship Them.
Michael John U. Teh (Quorum of Seventy)
Faith gives us hope that everything will work out eventually.
In times of calamity the Lord refocuses us.
It is critical that we learn to recognize when we have enough.
Do not let the spiritual and eternal take a back seat.
It is not necessary to own the latest and most sophisticated things.
For where your treasure is there will your heart be also.
Focus on things that will constitute our treasures in heaven.
It will be well for us to acquire Christ-like attributes .
More quality time and effort in strengthening family relationships.
Serving others is a hallmark of a true follower of Christ.
Understand the doctrine of Christ and strengthen our testimony.
Treasure your temple recommend.
No matter what happens, always pay tithing.
May our hearts always be found in the right place.
Marcos A. Aidukaitis (Quorum of Seventy)
The internet provides many opportunities for learning.
No one should dig through garbage.
By their fruits ye shall know them.
Many can and will recognize the fruits of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We can know the truth by experimenting on the words ourselves.
The gospel message should be delicious to us.
We are invited to test the word, and are told the outcome if we follow the instructions.
We can know the truth by personal revelation.
“I will tell it in your mind and in your heart by the Holy Ghost.”
Study it out and pray in faith to know if it is right.
Faith without works is dead. Ask in faith. Nothing wavering.
A greater portion of the word is given to those who do not harden their hearts.
Faith requires work.
If we are sincerely seeking the truth, we will do all in our power to find it.
We must ask in faith with an honest heart, believing that we will receive revelation.
Trust in the Lord and His promises.
God will reveal truth to those who seek it.
The journey to find truth is worth it.
D Todd Christofferson (Quorum of Twelve Apostles)
Christ’s existence is independent and everlasting.
Both as Jehovah and Messiah He is the Great I Am.
We can have ultimate trust and confidence in His power to overcome all else and grant us everlasting life.
Christ’s victory over death ended the human predicament. Now there are only personal predicaments.
Not only a perfect and just God. Also a perfect and merciful God.
We are all accountable to Him for our lives. Our lives are His.
Jesus is a divine being.
Because he was resurrected, Jesus had to have been a God. The Only Begotten Son of the Father.
The grace of Christ is real.
Faith is more than imagination and psychological invention.
Repentance is both possible and urgent.
The Savior’s miracles were real.
Because of Christ death is not our end. In our flesh we will see God.
Did the Lord in reality die and rise again? Yes.
“I testify of all that follows from the fact of His resurrection.”
Thomas S. Monson (President)
A wonderful conference.
The prayers have drawn us nearer to heaven.
We have been uplifted as we have participated together.
Read the messages when they become available.
May we resolve to do a little better than we have done in the past.
Be kind and loving to those who do not share our beliefs and our standards.
Heavenly Father will guide and bless us as we put our trust in Him.
May our homes be filled with love and courtesy and the Spirit of the Lord.
May we ever be found doing the work of the Lord.
He is indeed our Father. He is personal and real.
Closing Hymn: Come, Let Us Anew (217)
