David A. Bednar – The Quorum of the Twelve Apostles

david-a-bednar-largeHow fear is dispelled through faith in Christ.

One of the first effects of the fall was for Adam and Eve to experience fear.

Jesus Christ is the only source of enduring peace.

The power of the Atonement makes repentance possible.

One of the great blessings of devoted discipleship is the peace of God.

His doctrine provides purpose and direction in all aspects of our lives.

Look to Christ, build upon the foundation of Christ, and press forward with a foundation in Christ.

We can be blessed to hush our fears through our ordinances and covenants.

Disciplined endurance.

We can cheerfully persevere and live a peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

Godly fear is a source of peace, a surety and confidence. Righteous fear.

Godly fear grows out of a correct understanding of the divine will and mission of Jesus Christ.

Godly fear is the beginning of knowledge.

Every person who has and will live upon the earth will be brought before the bar of God.

Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is when whole duty of man.

Godly fear dispels mortal fears.

Our works and desires alone cannot save us.

We are made whole through the mercy and grace of Jesus Christ.

As we fear God more completely, we love him more perfectly, and perfect love casteth out all fear.

His power and peace are real.

D. Todd Christofferson – Quorum of the Twelve Apostles

christoffersont_largeMarriage is more than your love for each other.

In your marriage you’re a link in the generations.

Marriage comes from above, from God.

The addition of the physical element is essential.

Bridle the flesh to be the instrument instead of the master of the spirit.

With the fall became an awareness of good and evil.

God ordained that men and women should marry and give birth to children.

Nothing can be more important than physical birth and spiritual rebirth.

Marriage is the order of heaven.

Our claims for family and marriage are founded upon the word of God.

The holy order of matrimony cannot be reinvented.

Many things are good, many thing important. But only a few are essential.

Everyone can contribute to the unfolding of the divine plan.

With confidence we testify the atonement of Christ will compensate for the loss of all those who turn to Him.

May marriages flourish and families prosper.

Wilford W. Anderson – Seventy

wilford-w-andersen-largeWe can be taught to dance, but it’s up to us to hear the music.

We learn the dance steps with our minds, but we hear the music with our hearts.

The joy of the dance will only be experienced only when we hear the music.

Our children’s happiness depends on their ability to hear and love the beautiful music of the gospel.

We have to align with the correct frequency in order to hear the Spirit.

If our lives are out of tune with the gospel we need to tune them up!

When we can hear the music ourselves, we must try our best to perform it in our homes.

It takes diligent practice to perform beautiful music.

Dissonance in the home is like darkness in the room.

If you are not hearing the music of the gospel in your home…keep practicing.

Dale G. Renlund – Seventy

dale-g-renlund-largeA saint is a sinner who keeps on trying.

We know perfectly well that we’re not perfect.

God cares a lot more about who we are and about who we’re becoming than about who we once were.

In His mercy, God promises mercy when we repent and turn from wickedness.

That past wicked self is no longer who I am.

No failure ever need be final (Pres. Monson)

The Savior’s atonement can heal.

The Church is like a big hospital and we are all sick in our own way. We come to church to be helped.

Regardless of differences, all of us are in need of the same infinite Atonement.

If we don’t try, we’re just latter-day sinners.

If we don’t persevere, we are latter-day quitters.

If we don’t allow others to try, we are latter-day hypocrites.

Michael T. Ringwood – Seventy

michael-t-ringwood-largeGo about doing right for right’s sake.

Great women and men are always more anxious to serve than to have dominion.

Find ways to consistently serve and uplift others.

Don’t focus on titles.

The service that counts most is usually recognized by God alone.

All I really want in life is to please my fathers, both earthly and heavenly.

Quentin L. Cook – Quorum of the Twelve Apostles

quentin-l-cook-largeTrials must not distract us from rejoicing and celebrating Christ intercession in our behalf.

When we follow the Savior, like the sunflower, we flourish and become glorious.

Those that die in me should not taste of death, but it should deb sweet unto them.

It is important that our children know that they are loved and safe at home.

Wives and husbands are equal partners.

The family is the real thing.

Deep cultural values and belief go to the core of who we are.

The language of the heart is precious of all people.

We should be careful not to be critical or judgmental to those with concerns about the gospel.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has never been stronger.

“I know His voice.”

Closing Prayer – Randy D. Funk
