God Can Fix Anything

After another tragic mass shooting on American soil, various media outlets and people have been declaring that “God Isn’t Fixing This” and “prayers aren’t enough,” referring to these multiple mass shootings that have taken place on what seems to be a weekly basis.

This post is not meant to be politically correct, let alone political. But when people-Americans, say that God won’t take care of this nation, that bothers me. This is One Nation, Under God. How sad it is that we so easily forget the motto written on our currency:

IN GOD WE TRUST.

in-god-we-trust

No matter who you are, or what you believe, you don’t have the right to speak for God. He has already spoken.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” -Isaiah 55:8-9

A Book of Mormon prophet once wrote the following about this land:

“Behold, this is a choice land, and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall be free from bondage, and from captivity, and from all other nations under heaven, if they will but serve the God of the land, who is Jesus Christ, who hath been manifested by the things which we have written.” -Ether 2:12

My testimony is simple. God can fix anything. In fact, he has a pretty good history of healing broken things. Let us be unified as Americans and find strength in our unity as a nation. Let us remember our country was born out of religious faith, and seek to restore that faith. Through the Atonement of Christ, anyone can find peace, healing, and eternal happiness. Trust in God and have faith that He has all knowledge and all power, and that in His infinite wisdom he is working his plan for the good of His people.
