Throughout the scriptures, there are chapters that I just love to read over and over. I had the idea to highlight these chapters in a little mini series. I hope that as you read these chapters with me, that they impact you as much as they impact me.

The first chapter I wish to highlight is Romans 8. This is by far my favorite chapter in the Bible, and perhaps all of scripture. This chapter outlines very special blessings that come through living the teachings of Christ. It also teaches important foundational, doctrinal principles that are essential for us to know and understand as we build our relationship with God. Here are the highlights…

“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God…” – verses 6-7

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” –verses 16-17

“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us.” –verse 18

“But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.”             –verse 25

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” –verse 28

“…If God be for us, who can be against us?” –verse 31

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” –verses 38-39
